Joan has been assisting Dr. Gary Mancewicz since he graduated from the University of Michigan in 1976. After taking a sabbatical to raise her family, Joan rejoined our dental team and makes her patient’s care and comfort a priority.
In her spare time, Joan enjoys refinishing furniture, walking, and spending time with her family that includes seven children and four grand kids.
Katie studied dental assisting and joined our team after graduating in 2010.
Katie specializes as Dr. Stephen Mancewicz’s assistant and is dedicated to excellent patient care and comfort.
She loves to cook and bake, as well as spending her summers camping and enjoying the outdoors.
Colleen has been a part of our dental team for twenty years. She attended Grand Rapids Community College and takes great pride in being our office administrator.
Colleen’s goal is to answer patients’ questions and concerns with insurance, scheduling, financing, and treatment planning. Colleen also enjoys shopping, cooking, and spending time with friends, her husband and three children.
Kimmy has been working with Dr. Mancewicz for 30 years after attending Grand Rapids Community College. She began her career as a dental assistant but has since transferred to office administration.
Kimmy strives to give friendly and quality service to our patients with a welcoming smile. She loves to spend her time outdoors including birdwatching, fishing, and gardening. Kimmy has been married for 22 years.
Dixie began her career as a certified dental assistant in the office of Dr. John Stepanovich. In 2008 she completed training to become a registered expanded functions dental assistant, and in 2014 earned the title of registered Buteyko breathing educator.
She came to the office in 2014 with orthodontist, Dr. Wyland Gibbs, who together with Dr. Stephen Mancewicz, offer the opportunity for Biobloc orthotropic treatment.
She enjoys working with the children and adults as they progress through the growth guidance treatment, encouraging them and providing strategies to help them correct their oral posture and restore healthy nasal breathing.
In addition to our office, Dixie works at her father’s performance engine shop, as well as serving on the board of the West Michigan Orthotropic Study Center and caring for her Buteyko clients. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, wood turning, golfing or taking a spin in her hot rod.
Dr. Ellis’ Assistant & Receptionist
Teresa has been assisting Dr.Ellis and his wife Dr. Ellis since 2009. She loves interacting with people and has an excitement and enthusiasm for her job. “Giving the patient a good experience by making them feel at ease is of great important to me.
When I see that they are comfortable, I feel I have done my job.” Teresa has a new found interest in golf. She loves competing with her husband!
She also is dedicated to volunteering at her church, traveling, biking, reading and most importantly shopping!
Dr. Ellis’ Assistant
Chris has been assisting with Dr. Ellis for 17 years.
Chris enjoys working with our dental team and making sure her patients have a great dental experience.
She enjoys spending time with family, her 2 grand children and traveling.
Emily is currently attending Kellogg Community College to obtain an Associates of Applied Arts and Sciences in Dental Hygiene.
She is the fourth generation patient at this practice and she has enjoyed all of her time here.
Emily loves to travel and spend time with her family, boyfriend and friends.
Rob is our office Lab Technician, he has been with us for over 35 years. He is married and has 4 children and 2 dogs that he enjoys spending time with.
Lydia joined out team in 2017. She strives to make every patient feel welcome and comfortable. She provides assistance in a variety of areas around the office. Lydia likes to spend her free time camping with her husband, doing crafts and working with flowers.
